BIOGRAPHY
Doç. Dr. İpek Arslan, born in 1984, graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 2008 and completed her specialization in Pediatric Dentistry at Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ) in 2013.
She worked as a faculty member at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University from 2013 to 2023 and earned the title of associate professor in 2022.
Her areas of expertise include the management of dental anxiety in pediatric patients, dental treatments under general anesthesia and sedation, aesthetic dentistry, dental fractures, oral injuries, and preventive orthodontic treatments. In 2021, she completed Play Therapy Training to develop better approaches to meet the psychological and emotional needs of children.
Dr. İpek Arslan has published numerous scientific papers in international journals, particularly in the areas of dental anxiety management, the impact of personal protective equipment in pediatric dentistry, the effects of antibacterial agents on dental health, and dental biomaterials. Her work has been published in prestigious journals such as the International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry, Clinical Oral Investigations, and the Journal of Endodontics.
